In the first section, we look at what medications are, how they work, and the legislation relating to them. The next section looks at policies, classifications and types of medications, covert medications, precautions and side effects. We then move on to cover prescribing and prescriptions, records, storage, and the safe disposal of medications, finally looking at service and self-administration, contraindications, allergies, reporting mistakes, and recognising and reporting changes in the individual.
